Cohabitants
Nowadays there are more and more people living together without getting married. Yet many cohabiting couples do not know their legal rights in relation to their financial situation. People who are cohabiting are reliant on Trust and Property law to protect them. Our Family Law team would encourage all cohabiting couples to consider drawing up a Cohabitation Agreement at the beginning of their relationship to provide for what the financial arrangements should be so that there are no surprises in the event the relationship fails.
We will help you by:
- Advising you upon your rights, if any, upon separation so you can decide whether such an agreement is worth having
- Drawing up a cohabitation agreement for you
