Estate Administration

It can be a very stressful process dealing with your loved ones estate upon their death. Our Wills, Trusts and Probate Team can help you with the administration of their estate by:

  • Handling all aspects of the estate
  • Dealing with the courts
  • Dealing with the tax office
  • Finalising and distributing the estate
  • Providing death arrangements e.g. Deeds of Variation to vary the terms of the Will where this is appropriate

If your loved one has a Will then their nominated Executors are personally responsible for administering their estate upon their death. This will involve:

  • Submitting an Inheritance Tax Return
  • Obtaining a Grant of Probate
  • Collecting the deceased assets
  • Repaying any debts and liabilities of the deceased
  • Adhering to the beneficiaries rights
  • Preparing and dealing with the administration of any Trusts
  • Dealing with any foreign assets, domicile issues and Inheritance Tax
  • Obtaining tax clearance
  • Sharing of the deceased’s Residue

Our Wills, Trusts and Probate Solicitors are able to assist Executors with the administration of estates.

For further information please contact our Wills, Trusts and Probate Solicitors team who will be happy to help you with any enquiries on 0161 926 9969.
